My name is
Randy Hines,
I was
born in 1957, in Des Moines where I lived until 1974 when
our family built a new home in rural Runnells. I enjoyed
many things in my growing up years, and I believe the
highlight would be that I have traveled to about every state
in the U.S. except Hawaii, Alaska, and some of the New
England states. My parents believed it important to not just
travel but to point out historical places where I learned a
great deal about our nation and its founding. American
History is still today a great interest to me. My parents
are Bill and Hazel Hines. My father was a World War Navy
Veteran and served on a navy ship for 2 years in the South
pacific. I am very proud of my father. He was recently
privileged to go on an honor flight to Washington DC. My
mother worked for DMPS in food service for 25 years. I have
an older brother, Dennis. He recently retired from John
Deere, an older Sister Jan, who has taught school in
Seattle Washington, and here in Des Moines at Grandview
Baptist school and in Des Moines Public, at Rice/Monroe
school. I have worked for Des Moines Public Schools for 23
years. I enjoy my job even though it is probably the last
thing I thought I would be doing for an occupation. I
currently am beginning a new venture into insurance and
investing. I have a Life insurance license, and I am
working towards my health and securities license. I am
working with a company in Colorado called Longs Peak
Financial Services. I hope to build this carrier into one
that I can take into retirement. My wonderful wife, Gale
and I have been married for 30 years, we have 6 children.
They are Jonathan, he is married to Sarah and they live in
Colfax . Jonathan is in college, and wants to get a
technologies degree. Next is Bethany, she is a student at
Faith Baptist Bible College and wants to become a medical
missionary. Karilynn, Krista and Sarah are students at SEP
High school, and Jordan is a student at SEP Jr. High
School. My wife, Gale is a Para Educator in the special
education department at SEP High School. We also own a
cleaning business that we operate as a family. We are a very
busy, but happy family, and I praise God for his many
blessings.
Sincerely
Randy Hines |
