Marta Keiran, Second Grade

I graduated from Drake University. I have taught for the Des Moines Public Schools for 33 years, 30 of them at Pleasant Hill School. I’ve enjoyed my years of teaching at Pleasant Hill and it has been fun to be instructing the next generation of students.  My husband is a carpenter-floor layer and my daughter started Simpson College this fall. I like volunteering at Living History farms where I am a period interpreter at the 1875 Tangen House in Walnut Hill. I also enjoy attending the drama and music events that my daughter participates in at school.
