Joyce Hansel

My name is Joyce Hansel and I serve as the school nurse at Pleasant Hill Elementary School . I am a registered nurse with 30 years experience, 19 years as a school nurse. I love serving our students, families, and staff. I enjoy school nursing because it allows me the opportunity to use the health office as an extension of the classroom. I like to take advantage of the “teachable moments” I have with students when they are ill or injured and visit the nurse’s office.

My husband and I enjoy spending time with each other and our family. We have two terrific adult children, beautiful daughter in-law and grandparents of a handsome grandson. When not working, we enjoy spending time with our grandson and being around home. During the warmer months, we do a lot of camping and golfing. Taking our 4 year old Brittany Spaniel for his daily runs (yes, even on those below zero winter days) is fun and brings us great pleasure and much laughter.
