Terrie Price, Principal
Hello, I’m Terrie Price, principal at Pleasant Hill
Elementary. It is very exciting to be a part of such a
wonderful school with great students, staff, and parents.
My motto is “What’s Best for Kids-Whatever It Takes!”
Some background information on me. I enjoyed my 18 years of
growing up on a farm getting to bale hay, walk beans, ride my
pony, and show animals at the fair. In my spare time I loved to
drive my go-cart and swim. My teen years were busy with school,
sports, and working at Hy-Vee. I graduated from Rockford, Iowa
High School in 1986. I attended
Simpson
College
in Indianola from 1986-1990, a reading endorsement from Drake in
1992, and my masters in educational administration in 2001, from
UNI. I will be starting my nineteenth year of education this
year. I taught grades 2, 4, and 5, for eleven
years. During my teaching career I was also an athletic coach
for track, softball, basketball, volleyball, and cross-country.
I have been a principal for seven terrific years. I believe
learning should be fun and challenging. Our kids are WORTH IT!
I have a very active and fun family. My husband, Steve, is a
teacher at Summit Elementary in Johnston and assistant high
school wrestling coach. I have two sons, Travis, a 6th grader
and Zach, a third grader. My boys are runners, soccer players,
baseball players, and wrestlers! We like to run 5K road races
as a family! I also am busy in the church, love to go to
movies, and work in my yard.
Please remember that my door is always open and our
Pleasant Hill
School is great because of our families!
