Pleasant Hill School PTO
Who We Are...What We Do

Membership

All parents and staff of Pleasant Hill School automatically become members of the PTO-with no membership dues required. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend the PTO monthly meetings and to become involved in the life of the school. Your help and cooperation creates a partnership with our staff that enhances educational programs and experiences. Parents are invited to join any of the committees, volunteer in classrooms, or help with special events.

General Information

Meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in the Art room.

Childcare will be provided in the gym at most meetings. Our first meeting will be on September 11th.

Purpose/Objectives

The primary purpose of the PTO is to work cooperatively with staff to continually promote educational programs and appropriate extracurricular activities at our school to enhance academic, cultural, physical, and social development.

The PTO shall be an autonomous, independent, decision-making group.

The PTO shall support and encourage active participation of parents and staff.

The PTO shall provide a broad-based source of information on matters of mutual interest to parents.

The PTO shall provide an opportunity for all parents and staff to share ideas on matters relating to school functions and the education of children.

The PTO shall work cooperatively to provide financial assistance for activities and services beyond those provided by the school district.

Top Ten Reasons to be involved in PTO

  1. You care about children and their needs at school.
  2. We meet for about an hour, only once a month.
  3. You can bring your child with you, childcare is provided.
  4. We are always making decisions and planning for the future.
  5. You can meet and socialize with other parents and teachers.
  6. You can share new ideas…we’d love to hear them!
  7. You can be as involved as you want to be.
  8. It’s free & everyone is welcome.
  9. We need you. Together we can get more accomplished.
  10. We need your continuous support in order to keep providing “extra” activities for the children!
