Who We Are...What We Do
Membership
All parents and staff of Pleasant Hill School automatically
become members of the PTO-with no membership dues required. All parents are
welcomed and encouraged to attend the PTO monthly meetings and to become
involved in the life of the school. Your help and cooperation creates a
partnership with our staff that enhances educational programs and experiences.
Parents are invited to join any of the committees, volunteer in classrooms, or
help with special events.
General Information
Meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month at
6:30pm in the Art room.
Childcare will be provided in the gym at most meetings. Our
first meeting will be on September 11th.
Purpose/Objectives
The primary purpose of the PTO is to work cooperatively
with staff to continually promote educational programs and appropriate
extracurricular activities at our school to enhance academic, cultural,
physical, and social development.
The PTO shall be an autonomous, independent,
decision-making group.
The PTO shall support and encourage active participation of
parents and staff.
The PTO shall provide a broad-based source of information
on matters of mutual interest to parents.
The PTO shall provide an opportunity for all parents and
staff to share ideas on matters relating to school functions and the education
of children.
The PTO shall work cooperatively to provide financial
assistance for activities and services beyond those provided by the school
district.
