My husband and I live in Pleasant Hill with our dog Bailey. My husband, Kevin,  is in the Army National Guard and will be deploying to Afghanistan this fall.  I grew up in Cedar Rapids. My family consists of my mom, dad, older sister Jessica, and younger brother Andrew.  I attended the University of Northern Iowa and received my B.A. in elementary education and an endorsement in special education. I have received a Masters in Special Education May 2011 from Drake University.  This is my fourth year teaching at Pleasant Hill. I enjoy being with friends and family, shopping, traveling, working out, swimming, boating, and UNI and Iowa sporting events.
