My husband and I live in Pleasant Hill with our dog Bailey. My husband, Kevin,  is in the Army National Guard and will be deploying to Afghanistan this fall.  I grew up in Cedar Rapids. My family consists of my mom, dad, older sister Jessica, and younger brother Andrew.  I attended the University of Northern Iowa and received my B.A. in elementary education and an endorsement in special education. I’m taking classes at Drake University to pursue my masters in special education.  This is my fourth year teaching at Pleasant Hill. I enjoy being with friends and family, shopping, traveling, working out, swimming, boating, and UNI and Iowa sporting events.
