NEW!!!! Kindergarten Registration 2009

State-funded Preschool for 4-Year-Olds
Children must be 4 by September 15, 2009, to be eligible. You can download and print a copy of the application below. If you would like to apply for the current 2008-2009 school year, please call Janet Riggle at (515) 242-7234 or stop by the Welcome Center at 1301 2^nd Ave. for an application. A birth certificate is required with the application. The state-funded preschool follows the regular school-year calendar.

Open enrollment must be filled out each year. If you are open enrolling from Southeast Polk you contact their district superintendent’s office. If you are in the Des Moines District and are open enrolling to Pleasant Hill from another Des Moines School you must call Eleanor Shirley at 242-7707. Thanks,

Dear Parents,

Conferences are an important time to touch base with your child’s teacher so that we can work as a team to make every child successful. We are trying for 100% conference attendance! When you are at conferences please stop by the office to check your Infinite Campus data. (Emergency numbers, contacts, and email) Email in our system will allow access an Infinite Campus account to monitor your child. (See explanation below)

Mrs. Helt will by in the front entry with bullying surveys, (school safety) parents with children in grades 3-5 we will need to fill out a survey so we get accurate data.
